A Reminder for the Woman Wanting a Baby

As I threw the pregnancy test across the room, I fell to my knees.

I could feel my body getting hot. My body shaking. And I could feel the tears filling
my eyes, making it hard to see anything.

I don’t think I have ever felt so alone. I mean…SO. SO. Alone. I truly felt like I was
the only person left on the planet that wasn’t a mom.

“What am I doing wrong?!” I would yell.

“WHY ME?!” I would ask myself.

“When will it be MY turn?!” I questioned.

It had been five years of “trying” and undergoing fertility treatments.
I wanted to be a mom more than anything in this world - but for some
reason it wasn’t happening.

Despite the sadness that I was feeling though, I felt like I needed to be
strong for my husband. I needed to be
happy for my family. I needed to be
supportive for all of my friends. And I needed to suck it up and put a smile on
my face for the world.

But that was when my phone rang.

It was my mom of course. She definitely always calls at the right times.

Through the phone, she could hear my crackling voice and sniffly nose. She knew I was upset.

After I had explained to her what had just happened - that I had taken my monthly pregnancy test {because I REALLY felt like I was pregnant this time!!} she said something to me that changed my perspective of this difficult situation.

“You are not alone. And you know you don’t have to be tough all the time, right? It’s okay to cry. And It’s okay to be sad. This is really hard!” - she said.

Then we got off the phone and my phone buzzed again - this time it was a text message. It read from Mom: “PS…You can do hard things!”

Today I want to talk to the girl who looks happy, but feels really REALLY broken inside.

I want to talk to the girl who looks like she has plenty of friends and a family that loves her, but feels so alone.

This is for the girl who goes to baby showers and dreams of having her own one day.

And for the girl who holds a baby and imagines that she is holding her own.

This is for the girl who is smiling in front of the world, but crying inside of her room.

Because you see - it’s not easy. That’s the truth.

Infertility is not as easy as it looks.

It’s not easy taking test after test after test after test - and never seeing those double lines.

It’s not easy not having answers to your questions.

It’s not easy wondering if and when you will ovulate this month.

It’s not easy supporting pregnant friends.

It’s not easy waking up every morning, wondering if today will be your lucky day!

But the thing is - although it isn’t easy - I can promise you one thing…it is worth it. And you can do it. Because you can do hard things.

It is worth it because miracles happen.

And good days come.

And the light at the end of the tunnel is sometimes RIGHT around the corner!

And happiness can be found, even during the darkest storms.

So, to you, my friend who has taken test after test after test after test and hasn’t seen those double lines - remember that YOU are not alone.

I have gone through at LEAST 60 First Response Early Result Pregnancy Tests. They are over 99% accurate from the day of your expected period and is the only brand that can tell you 6 days sooner than your missed period {for people like me who thinks we are pregnant WAY before our periods are scheduled to start!}.

They are so easy to use with step by step instructions and have the easiest results to read! I also love that you can test any time of day.

But sometimes the days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into months and the months turn into years - and it’s really hard. But I hope you remember that YOU are not alone.

And to the woman who is getting frustrated, not having answers to your questions - remember that YOU are not alone.

When you wonder WHY?! WHEN?! HOW?! and WHAT TO DO?! Remember that 1 in 8 couples struggle with infertility and are asking these very same questions.

And to the couple that is wondering if and when to “try” - remember that YOU are not alone!

The First Response Daily Digital Ovulation Test helps predict your best days to conceive. With a 99% accuracy rate, the test is super helpful to determine your most fertile days! I highly suggest giving it a try! It is that very test that helped the doctors diagnose me with PCOS and I imagine could really help you too!

And to the lady who is finding it hard to attend ANOTHER baby shower or get on Facebook to see ANOTHER baby announcement or go run errands to see ANOTHER pregnant mom - YOU are not alone!

So, to my fellow infertility warrior women - remember that YOU are not alone in this. In fact, we are all in this together! And although you are wearing a smile - we know that it isn’t as easy as you are making it look.

oh and PS…YOU can do HARD things!
